Project Overview

This engagement involved the complete structural steel detailing scope for a multi-level industrial wood-processing facility. AFAR Steel Detailing produced the full Tekla Structures model, coordinating structural framing, access platforms, stairways, ladders, grating, and handrail assemblies across the facility.

Every assembly was modelled to fabrication-ready precision — connection details, bolt patterns, material grades, and weld specifications were resolved in the model before shop drawings were issued. The result was a complete drawing package that went directly to the fabrication shop with minimal RFI activity.

The project reflects the depth of industrial detailing experience AFAR brings to complex, multi-discipline structural scopes — the kind of work where coordination, accuracy, and fabrication knowledge matter most.

Industrial Specialization

Industrial facilities demand a level of coordination and fabrication knowledge that goes beyond standard commercial work. AFAR Steel Detailing has built its practice around exactly this kind of complex, multi-discipline industrial scope — where accuracy in the model directly affects what happens on the shop floor and in the field.

Commercial Projects Welcome

The same precision and fabrication-first approach that drives AFAR's industrial work applies equally to commercial structural steel. Whether the project is a multi-storey commercial building, a retail structure, or a mixed-use development, AFAR brings the same standard of detailing quality to every scope.
