Project Overview
AFAR Steel Detailing produced three-dimensional structural steel models and technical drawings for interconnected industrial access structures.
The documented work includes elevated walkways, stair systems, guardrail-supported platforms, braced framing, and an elevated access bridge. The models and drawings illustrate how these structural elements are organized and communicated for steel fabrication.
This project demonstrates AFAR Steel's capability to coordinate multiple access structures across a shared industrial environment — delivering accurate, fabrication-ready documentation for each assembly.
Scope of Work

Technical Capabilities Demonstrated
Elevated Walkway Modelling
Modelled and detailed elevated steel walkways spanning multiple bays, with columns, cross-bracing, beam framing, grating decks, and full guardrail systems. Geometry was coordinated across connected walkway segments and stair access points.
Stair System Detailing
Detailed stair arrangements connecting grade to elevated walkway levels, including stringer framing, treads, landings, and guardrail assemblies. Stair geometry was resolved to suit platform elevations and access requirements.
Equipment Access Platform
Produced a detailed structural model for an elevated equipment access platform with stair approach, cross-braced column framing, and guardrail-supported deck. The platform was coordinated to suit equipment clearances and access paths.
Trussed Access Bridge
Modelled and detailed a long-span elevated access bridge with trussed side framing, chord members, diagonal bracing, and end support columns. The bridge structure required precise coordination of truss geometry, connection points, and bearing details.
Structural Coordination
Coordinated beam, column, and brace arrangements across multiple interconnected steel assemblies. Member sizes, elevations, and connection interfaces were resolved in the 3D model before drawings were issued.
Arrangement Drawing Production
Produced arrangement drawings communicating plan layouts, elevations, and section cuts for each access structure. Drawings documented member configurations, key dimensions, and connection information for fabrication and erection.
